As a contemporary metal sculptor, I examine the relationships between shapes and materials and our perception of them. My work is informed by a juxtaposition of materials and color, clean lines and a modern, minimalist aesthetic. The base material for nearly all my work is mild steel accented with a complimentary or contrasting element such as stainless steel, aluminum or paint.
I believe great art is a reflection of the history of “right now.” I hope to imbue each viewer with just a small spark of contemplation, of slowing down for a moment to see an aspect of their own lives, the sudden miracle and wild challenge of living, reflected in art.
